Wedding Day

Once the morning of the wedding arrived, everything flew by so fast! We all woke up at Nolen's house and had breakfast. Then shortly after, the hair and makeup girls arrived and we were all getting ready!

I had a few bills to pay since my final paychecks from my job went into my account the same day as the wedding. So while the bridesmaids got ready, I took care of that. Missy thought it was hilarious, lol.

Chelle getting ready.

Amanda getting ready.

Missy getting ready. She didn't mean that middle finger (I think, lol).

Nolen getting ready (with Missy making faces in the background, lol).

Mom getting ready.

Flower girl, Emma, getting ready. She was so excited to be getting her hair and makeup done with all of us.

My turn! I went last so my hair and makeup would be freshest.

(I wish my hair would have stayed this curled the whole time. Most of it fell out before the ceremony even started. It still looked good, though)

Chelle was in charge of my phone, so there was lots of other random stuff on there too.

I could laugh for days at the faces this girl makes.

Nolen's weave hanging off a chair...? lol

Poor Kevin (Nolen's boyfriend).

The photographer, Lucas.

Running 30 minutes behind schedule (my fault, I have too much hair, lol), we were ready to pile into the limo!

Some bubbly for everyone (Sprite for Emma).

That's Canyon Gate on the corner there! This is when the butterflies really started kicking in!

Eeep!

Down in the bridal suite (aka locker room, lol)

They gave us cheese and crackers and more champagne and soda.

Here's my "something blue."

A couple pictures of the bridesmaids getting ready. My phone ended up being pretty much forgotten at this point. Way too much going on.

Here's a few of me getting ready that I got off the photographer's website. I didn't want to use a lot of these yet, cause they just proofs, so they're low quality and watermarked. I'll share more when I get the high resolution negatives.

I got stuck in my dress for like 15 minutes. My coordinator, Keri, tried prelacing it to make the process faster when I went to put it on, and it didn't end up working out. We had to completely unlace it and start all over again. I was like this for what felt like forever. Everyone thought it was pretty funny except me, haha.

It took all four bridesmaids and Keri to get me into it, lmao.

I have lots of pictures from the ceremony from all the people who took pictures on their phones and sent them to me. Again, there's 100's from the photographer, but I don't wanna share too many until I have the negatives.

Brothers (my bridesmen) and mom.

Maid of honor and best man.

Sand ceremony.

A few of the formal pictures.

Everyone in the bridal party.

We did our grand entrance to the CBS NFL theme and all the bridesmaids and groomsmen twirled green and yellow flags when we walked down!

First dance.

The cake. The bottom layer was raspberry and lemon, the middle later was red velvet and the top layer was peanut butter and jelly!

The only picture that was taken on my phone the whole time, lol. Chelsea and Milo!

Our DJ was so awesome; he got us this autographable Green Bay football and passed it around to have everyone sign when Ken and I were out doing our formals, then he surprised us with it!

Cake cutting.

Garter toss. Bastard bit me, lmao.

Here's a video of the garter toss that Nolen took!

Father daughter dance (I have a video of this too but I just can't find it right now! Nolen you may need to send it to me again, lol)

Some random dancing pictures, lol.

Gangnam Style!

Cousins!

Me and Nolen and Kevin.

And the end of the night! We didn't really get to do a send off cause a lot of people had left by the time we were ready to go. So for pictures we just did kind of a "walking out" staged thing so we could have something,

And on our way to our hotel room!

And here's the gorgeous hotel room Nolen got us at Red Rock. It was so nice! I wish we could have stayed there longer than one night.

And that's the day in a nutshell!! I have over 1,300 proofs so there's tons more pictures I can share once I get the negatives.

Overall, the day was amazing! I was convinced something was going to go wrong, but the way went so smoothly! The only hiccup was that Ken's grandmother was 1/2 hour late so we got started kind of late, but that was it! Everything was perfect! I'd do all of it again in a heartbeat. Such an amazing experience and so surreal! I still don't think it's really hit me that after this long, I'm a married woman! I have yet to change my name; I was waiting until I found a new job so it would be an easier transition (rather than applying for jobs with my maiden name, changing it, then having to explain why my name is different on my SScard and ID). Once I get that done and I'm officially an Erkinger, maybe it will hit me then. :)

And I have to give a huge shout out to my sister, Nolen, who was so incredible throughout all of this craziness! She was there for me, and did so much of the planning and took so much on her shoulders. She designed and made pretty much everything in the centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnieres, and had so many more amazing ideas. I had several people ask me who did all the decoration and were blown away when I said it was all her! (I helped a bit, lol) I don't know what I would have done without her! Love you, sister!

When people told me to really try to enjoy every second of getting married, they meant it! It felt like the day was so far away, and the last week was like torture, it went by soooo slowly. But once the day was here, it went by so unbelievably fast. It was so amazing, but it's all a blur! I have the ceremony on DVD and Ken's grandfather took a lot of video of the reception, so hopefully I can try to relive it through those. :)
